When avoiding additives, this homemade Italian salad dressing will hit the spot!

The dry mix can be used to add flavor to any meal, but we especially like to use this in our Italian Portobella Steaks!

We use red wine vinegar and grapeseed oil when preparing the dressing

Italian Salad Dressing Mix

An alternative to store bought Italian Salad Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp oregano dried
  • 1 tsp pepper fresh ground
  • 1 tsp thyme dried
  • 1 tsp parsley dried
  • 1 tsp basil dried
  • 1/4 tsp celery salt

Instructions

  • Measure and mix all ingredients in a resealable container.

Notes

To achieve the best flavor, make sure to use fresh ingredients.

  • 1/4 c vinegar red wine, white wine, or balsamic
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 2 Tbsp Italian Salad Dressing Mix
  • 2/3 c oil grapeseed or olive

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine vinegar, water, dressing mix, and oil.
  • Whisk together until well blended.
  • Allow dressing to sit for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to develop.

Notes

Prepared dressing can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 weeks.
